Grant Funding for WRJSL is as diversified as our membership. Funds are given to agencies that help infants, children, the elderly, individuals with disabilities or medical needs, and those that are economically disadvantaged as well as agencies that benefit or support our safety services and the culture and arts in our community.
Monies raised from our fundraising projects go immediately back into the community in the form of grants. Twice a year WRJSL accepts grant applications from agencies in Lake, Geauga and Ashtabula counties in need of funding. Our Community Research committee reviews these applications and sends a committee member to interview a representative from each agency. The committee then makes their funding recommendations to our membership who then votes on these funding requests.
Fall funding requests must be postmarked from August 1st to September 1st and Spring funding requests, postmarked from December 1st to January 1st. If you are a 501(c)(3) agency and are interested in funding, download our Funding Application and mail with any pertinent materials you wish to be included with the application to:

Please note:
1. Only 501(c)3, non-profit organizations may apply. Submit a copy of your 501(c)3 approved letter from the IRS with your funding application 2. Submit 22 copies of the funding application and all supporting documentation 3. Obtain and submit at least two or more written bids for any equipment and/or materials requested and the time frame these prices will be in effect. Effort should be made to obtain the best prices; this includes any discounts or special prices for no non-profit organizations. Specialized equipment where only one source is available is excluded from obtaining more than one bid; however, it must still be submitted with the application 4. The application is to be completed by the Executive Director of the organization 5. WRJSL will not accept funding requests for salaries or fundraisers 6. If funds are awarded, they must be used within six (6) months from the date of receipt. If not, funds must be returned to WRJSL. A follow-up report, including receipts, is due within this time frame as well 7. Fall funding requests must be postmarked from August 1st to September 1st and Spring funding requests, postmarked from December 1st to January 1st 8. A member of WRJSL will contact the organization by the end of each funding deadline month to schedule an interview 9. The organization will be notified if funds will/not be awarded within four months of submission 10. This application is not for Emergency funding
