High Standards

As part of our commitment to volunteerism, WRJSL Active members participate as a group in our yearly Special Community Service Project. Our Community Research Committee selects a different project each year. In the past we have worked together on projects such as:

• promoting drug awareness and education through the "Red Ribbon" program:

• sorting and boxing food goods gathered during United Way's "Harvest for Hunger" campaign

• working with Deepwood Clients to compile baskets to distribute to needy families

• sorting clothing donated to Birthright, Hope Chest and Suit Yourself

• hosting the soup kitchen at St. James Episcopal Church

• cleaning and organizing the home of a "Christmas in April" client

• helping restore Mooreland Mansion's building and gardens

Members truly enjoy working together to "get the job done" for a wide variety of non-profit organizations in our community. Projects are completed during one or two Saturdays, usually in March or April.

If your organization has a project you would like considered for our next Community Service Project, please submit your request below. If your project is selected, you will be notified.
